Eggs range from 5-7 on the scale, these marans all come from reputable breeders and have been and will continue to be improved on for egg color and bird type and color. I currently have two unrelated pens of black copper marans, some from Ray Valentine lines with Presley line roos, the others from Channing Gresham import lines. All marans are bred with egg color improvement first, then feather color. You may get “sports” from some of the lines, most recently I am getting salmons from my wheaten pen.
